Veteran student housing leader concludes transformative service with industry organization
As B&D Executive Director TJ Logan concludes his tenure on the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I) Executive Board, he reflects on years of dedicated service that have helped reshape the future of student housing. During his time on the board, he championed initiatives that promoted innovation, inclusivity, and professional development across the student housing industry.
“Serving on the ACUHO-I Executive Board has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career,” TJ shared. “It’s been inspiring to collaborate with professionals from around the country who are just as committed to creating meaningful student experiences as I am.”
Mary DeNiro, CEO and Executive Director of ACUHO-I, praised TJ’s contributions, saying, “TJ’s leadership, insight, and tireless work have shaped ACUHO-I into a dynamic and forward-thinking organization. TJ’s journey in student housing leadership began during his time at the University of Florida, where he held various leadership roles in university housing and student affairs. There, he provided leadership over the largest comprehensive housing operation in the Southeastern United States. Focusing on the development and implementation of innovative solutions, T. J. spearheaded several industry firsts. This experience deepened his passion for student housing and led him to play a pivotal role within ACUHO-I, guiding the organization to better support housing professionals globally.
This milestone marks not an end, but a continuation of TJ’s lifelong mission to advance the higher education industry. Now at Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D), TJ continues to apply his extensive expertise to help colleges and universities develop sustainable, student-centered housing solutions. His strategic insights and innovative approaches are driving impactful projects that address affordability, inclusivity, and long-term campus growth. His commitment to student success and campus engagement continues to drive his work in developing forward-thinking solutions for higher education institutions.
