In the October 27, 2024 issue of the San Antonio Report, B&D CEO Chris Dunlavey was quoted praising the San Antonio Missions for its innovative approach in funding construction of a new minor league baseball stadium, calling the structure “cutting edge.” He emphasized how the agreement integrates a significant financial commitment from the team alongside tax increments from surrounding development—a departure from the more typical reliance on public subsidies for such projects. Drawing from the firm’s extensive experience in sports venue development, Dunlavey also noted this structure’s rarity and its potential to minimize taxpayer impact.
