Washington, DC – Thomas J. (“TJ”) Logan Ed.D., who has held a number of executive-level positions across his 20+-year career in higher education housing, auxiliary services and student affairs, recently joined program management and advisory firm Brailsford & Dunlavey (“B&D”) as an Executive Director in its higher education practice group.
Logan comes to B&D from the Ohio State University, where he most recently served as Associate Vice President for the Residential Experience. He is expected to be inserted into current and future initiatives where the firm’s higher education clients – which number over 850 since the firm’s founding in 1993 – are looking to thrive, both from a facilities and operations perspective, while continuing to deliver on their academic mission in an ever-changing landscape. Logan will collaborate with institutional leaders to articulate the outcomes, attributes, and capacities required to achieve their organizations’ targeted new reality.
“It’s a formative time in our industry that will require new and creative solutions, and in particular schools need to think more creatively about how to optimize their operations in the changing landscape,” Logan said. “At B&D, which has been focused on advising colleges and universities for over 30 years, I will be able to partner with campuses all over the country to identify and implement solutions that meet this moment. I can’t think of a better way to serve the industry that I love.”
At Ohio State and his previous stops – including Temple, the University of Florida and Kent State –Logan focused on the sustainable design, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive auxiliary operations and student affairs financial models. He has also served for more than five years on the ACUHO-I (Association of College & University Housing Officers) Executive Board, and is a frequent speaker and author on higher education topics related to his areas of expertise.
