Fairfax County explores bold new school construction strategies

School board considers fresh ideas developed in collaboration with Brailsford & Dunlavey

Fairfax County Public Schools is exploring innovative strategies to modernize how school construction projects are delivered, many of which were developed in partnership with Brailsford & Dunlavey. As highlighted in a recent FFXnow article, the school board is considering concepts such as construction manager at risk, alternative swing-space options, and public-private partnerships—all approaches that B&D helped shape to improve cost efficiency, minimize disruption, and unlock new value for the community.
