Mandy Albrecht

Director

Ms. Albrecht is a director in Brailsford & Dunlavey’s higher education practice. She brings a wide range of experience to B&D, with over two decades in roles spanning construction management, law, and higher education.

Ms. Albrecht spent the early portions of her career in construction project management, first with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and then with a commercial general contractor/developer.  She later became an attorney and practiced construction litigation at a large regional law firm.  When an adjunct teaching opportunity grew into a full-time faculty position, Ms. Albrecht joined the Construction Management faculty at the University of Cincinnati.  For over a decade at UC, Ms. Albrecht taught courses, advised student organizations, and coached award-winning student competition teams.  She is passionate about connecting students with professional industry, especially efforts to promote construction industry careers to women and underrepresented minority groups.

Ms. Albrecht steadily took on academic leadership roles during her time at UC, eventually serving as Assistant Dean of UC’s College of Engineering & Applied Science.  Most recently, Ms. Albrecht served as Dean of the College of Business & Professional Studies at Missouri Western State University.

Ms. Albrecht’s experience as a project manager, lawyer, educator, and administrator helps her to effectively analyze issues and strategically navigate projects involving multiple stakeholders.  She has developed a collaborative style of working and leadership, thanks to the shared governance that is central to academic institutions.
