Cody Powell is a senior analyst within our higher education practice. He has spent the first half of his career in the architecture industry working with Higher Education and K-12 clients across Central and Northern Texas as well as Corporate Commercial clients across the country. He has worked with clients such as UT Austin, Google, Apple, Dell and has spearheaded projects as small as a gender-neutral bathroom renovation to as large as 12-building corporate campuses. He has a passion for solving complex problems which is what led him to his current advisory role.

Since receiving his Master’s of Real Estate at DePaul University, Cody pivoted his career and gained unique skills in areas including Corporate Governance, Data Analytics, Corporate Operations and Finance. This has allowed him to bring unique solutions to help drive improved client outcomes. His path began with a myriad of real estate typologies including Aviation, Mass Transit, Higher Education, and State / Local governments. He was later drawn back to the Higher Education sphere of work where he first started his career, though this time on the advisory side. He is dedicated to ensuring that his clients genuinely receive the best outcomes possible by being able to bring to bear his financial advisory, architecture/planning and other skills together. He has enjoyed working with clients across the Midwest and South including UT Austin, UT Arlington, Purdue, Texas State and many more. He is excited to continue his work within the Higher Education team at B&D for many years to come.
