Anya joins B&D as a senior consultant within our higher education practice. Prior to joining B&D, Anya was the director of strategic initiatives for California State University, Monterey Bay. Anya has a master of arts degree in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, and a bachelor’s degree in biology/minor in Latin American and Latino Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Outside of work, Anya and her family live on three demanding acres in the Santa Cruz mountains. She enjoys world travel, reading, swimming, backpacking, food and gardening. She also serves as a board member with ConnectED, a small nonprofit whose fellowship program empowers local education leaders to engage their community to improve the access, quality and relevance of education in rural Central America.
