  • Led B&D’s proprietary Strategic Asset Value process with university project stakeholders to ensure the housing master plan was in line with the existing mission and values of the university as a whole
  • Conducted student focus groups and interviews to gain perspective and aspirations for new on-campus housing
  • Performed peer housing analysis to reveal comparisons to competitive institutions
  • Analyzed the off-campus residential market
  • Created a demand analysis to demonstrate potential need to grow / diversify on-campus housing stock
  • Examined existing facilities for strategic re-investment potential

Project Highlights

  • An opportunity exists for creating a new 1,370-bed residential community  –  a ‘sophomore village’  –  to accommodate second-year live-on requirement
  • University to explore strategic reinvestment in existing halls, including de-densification and creation of additional community space
  • Additional on-campus housing to be assessed, including graduate apartments
