Student Housing Market Study

Arizona State University was considering a student housing project for its downtown Phoenix campus that would accommodate 1,300 students. In order to fully understand the feasibility of this project the university asked B&D to perform a market analysis detailing the off-campus market to include student interviews and surveys. As a result of our study we presented our model that quantified the demand for the proposed units at specific rental rates in the context of the university’s enrollment projections. As a result, Phase I of the development (774 beds) opened in August of 2008, and Phase II (540 beds) opened in August of 2009.
