Residence Hall Programming

In 2007 B&D was selected by Ohio Dominican University to plan and design a new residence hall on the Sunbury Road campus of Ohio Dominican University. The university wanted new housing for freshman students that would support community development and be a recruitment and retention tool as well. Our responsibilities included an analysis of appropriate components and unit types needed, a strategic visioning session, student focus groups, and a demographic analysis. A program of architectural requirements was then generated. This work resulted in our recommending a high density, suite-style facility with amenities to support the university’s growing demands. As a result, the new 152-bed, 34,000 SF, $6 million Lynam Hall opened in August 2008.
