Recreation Center Preliminary Assessment And Business Plan Review

In 2008, when Drexel University wanted a preliminary assessment and business plan review for a planned recreation center, it retained the services of B&D. Our assessment included tours of existing recreational facilities, interviews with campus administrators and key stakeholders, and a visioning session through which we outlined the university’s expectations and aspirations for the project, identified the its targeted constituencies, and framed the initial project concepts that would respond to that vision. As part of its assessment, B&D also reviewed the existing business plan and explored potential patron capacity issues. Upon completing a preliminary financial analysis, we issued a series of recommendations and proposed next steps for the development of the new building.
