Recreation Center Analysis And Design Review

In 1996 Boston College was in the process of replacing its aging Recreational Complex with a new, state-of-the-art Student Sports Center. The college was challenged by the site limitations for the new building but also enthused at the prospect of having more green space and parking, if its plan was realistic. The college hired B&D to review the drawings and analyze the feasibility of program areas including: dimensions, major space flexibility, fitness center equipment, and a locker system. We concluded our analysis by making recommendations on space sizes, layouts, circulation, materials, lighting, and equipment requirements.
