Recreation And Sports Center Ff&e Analysis And Development

It was important for Adelphi to know that the FF&E designed and budgeted for its planned Center for Recreation and Sports was realistic. B&D’s analysis for this project included user interviews and coordination with the developing drawings. As a result of our findings, equipment layouts were specified and served as a basis for discussion of each room’s functionality and flexibility. Key requirements were given to the design team to ensure appropriate accommodations would be made to allow the successful operation of the equipment. The Administrator’s Purchasing Guide written as a result of this work continued to serve as Adelphi’s tool for planning budgets and preparing for decisions on refurbishing, trading, and upgrading existing equipment from planning through move-in. The $108 million/76,000 square foot Center for Recreation and Sports opened in 2008.
