Newark Dog Park Program Management

In 2009 the District of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation, through the Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization, needed program management and project oversight services for the renovation of, and addition to, numerous community recreation centers, athletic fields, parks, and playgrounds. B&D was retained for these services, and the work was completed using the design-build delivery method. The Newark Dog Park project scope included the design and construction of a 13,000 SF dog park with two enclosures for pets, site amenities, ADA access ramps/walkways, and a rain garden. The $410,000 project was completed in 2010.
