New Campus Program Management

In 2007 Nations Academy engaged B&D to serve as its representative and primary interface with its architects and construction management firm for the development of a new Pre-K through 12th grade private school. At the time, the academy planned to open over 60 campuses in leading cities around the world, with the idea being that every graduate would have had at least four experiences abroad at other academy campuses. We managed the design and pre-construction of its campus in Maryland and dealt with issues relating to scheduling, approval processes, design, construction, and budgeting. The 280,000 SF facility included spaces for: academic classrooms, science labs, world language labs, a media center, dining facilities, a library, conference rooms, a natatorium, gymnasiums, fitness and wellness facilities, outdoor athletic fields, a black box theater; performing arts facilities; administrative offices, and a parking structure.
