Health And Recreation Center Master Plan

In 2007 Fayetteville State University wanted to assess the school’s recreation center facilities relative to the demands of the campus population. B&D was chosen to conduct this assessment and our tasks included: a detailed market analysis to determine the nature and extent of the demand for a new center; a financial analysis to determine the feasibility of developing a new center; and the development of site options, project concepts, and phasing strategies to help the school determine the future direction of a new center. We identified significant demand for increased recreation activities and enhanced university facilities. We also determined that updating recreation equipment would enhance campus life by meeting the needs of the student, staff, and graduate communities. In addition, for the proposed project concepts and phasing strategies, B&D weighed strongly the appeal for additional spectator seating for students at intercollegiate and intramural sporting events
