Faculty/staff Club Feasibility Analysis

California State University, Fullerton realized in 2005 that it needed a place for the university community to dine with colleagues, one that provided a true sense of place on campus. B&D was retained to determine the feasibility of establishing such a Faculty Staff Center and to identify campus attributes of other successful centers in a similar setting. We were also asked to provide financial scenarios for its operation. Our study concluded that the interest in exploring this project was timely and we suggested some specific actions that would take this idea to the next level, including: development of an operational model to be market tested, a market analysis of potential users to identify desired services, a business plan that outlined various financial and operational scenarios, and a budget supporting a formal group of campus faculty and staff to support these activities and report to the VP of Administration.
