Dining, Retail, And Conference Facilities Market Analysis

American University wanted to develop a plan to guide its short- and long-term improvements for dining, retail, and conference facilities as part of its plan to redefine its main campus. Since many of the potential projects were to be debt financed it was important that our work outline the key programmatic, financial, and operating impacts of such large potential developments. B&D’s approach included student focus groups/interviews, competitive analyses, and the development of preliminary concepts that would improve on some of the initial planning. The results showed a variety of specific paths for expansion, enhancements, and increased revenue in the areas of retail, meeting/conference space, and dining operations.
