Community Recreation Center Market Analysis And Financial Analysis

In 2005 the Town of Leesburg engaged B&D to evaluate the market demand for, and financial performance of, a range of potential facility improvements to Ida Lee Park. A large financial gift had just been bequeathed to the park and we were called upon to help establish priorities for its use. Our scope of work included a survey of the town and the park’s market area, an analysis of community demand for recreation facilities, the development of facility program options responding to community demand, and a detailed financial analysis of the proposed improvements. We developed a survey to determine the general usage patterns and levels of demand for a variety of recreational activities, and to test demand for several specific improvements, specifically: an outdoor family aquatics center, a tennis center, and an expansion of the existing recreation center.
