Community Recreation Center Feasibility Analysis

The Conestoga Valley Recreation Foundation (“CVRF”) wanted to begin a feasibility study for a new community recreation center for the school district. The foundation hired B&D for this project and our work focused on a market analysis and the development of a preliminary architectural program and financial plan. In addition to performing an analysis of the demographics of the region and market area, our tasks included numerous interviews with community leaders and representatives of regional recreation interests. Architectural programs were developed based on the market analysis and our experience with community recreation and the central Pennsylvania area. Preliminary financial models for the proposed architectural programs were developed with input from local representatives and the Conestoga Valley Community Center (“CVCC”) operating data. Collectively, our efforts provided the CVRF with the information it needed to determine the suitability and feasibility of moving the CVCC to a new location.
