Ballpark Feasibility Analysis

In 2002 the City of Danbury was considering the addition of a facility to house a minor league ballpark and turned to B&D for a feasibility study. Our scope of work included: a market analysis identifying the level of demand for sports and family entertainment within the local market; a study to determine the market’s ability to attract and retain a potential baseball franchise; a revenue stream projection; a financial analysis identifying both development costs and lifetime operating costs, reconciling these against projected revenues and identifying alternative funding sources; and an economic impact analysis to quantify the value to the community. Our research and analysis demonstrated that the Danbury market was substantial enough to support consistent attendance at the facility and that residents were overwhelmingly in support of it. The proposed ballpark would have a capacity of 4,800 seats.
