In response to growing enrollment needs, AppleTree was in need of larger classrooms and more efficient common areas but was limited by budget and space restrictions. B&D was brought on to respond to those needs and provided the school with creative solutions on how to best develop its 2,300 SF space on the existing budget. Using faculty and administrator input, B&D created several potential floor plans along with their preliminary cost estimates, which provided AppleTree with creative solutions for how to develop the space. Our work as program managers of the renovation included selecting the architect and contractor, ensuring timeline adherence, facilitating the permitting process and directing regular team meetings and conference calls. As a result of this program management, Apple Tree was able to realize cost savings and use them to improve the children’s outdoor play area, as well as ensure a successful $50,000 renovation.
