Senior Project Manager

A senior project manager in B&D's Washington, DC office, Ms. Kaplowitz possesses a particular expertise in workforce housing development with a diverse background in municipal planning, community revitalization, and real estate development. Prior to rejoining B&D in 2016, she oversaw the development of more than 650 rental housing units worth over $119 million in Texas, Louisiana and the Mid-Atlantic for several leading affordable multifamily developers. Prior to that, she was a real estate officer for the District of Columbia, where she developed and implemented initiatives to maximize and right-size the District’s real estate portfolio. Ms. Kaplowitz earned a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University before obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, she has volunteered for various urban planning and community development organizations. Early in her career as a B&D project analyst, she oversaw the budget, schedule, and program for the planning and development of educational facilities for universities and PK-12 schools.
