Assistant Project Manager

At B&D, Ms. Martin contributes heavily to the firm’s project management efforts, playing a key role on large-scale projects such as the comprehensive modernization of Washington, D.C.’s public schools. In her work for District of Columbia Public Schools, she has overseen all facets of FF&E implementation, including preliminary and detailed budgeting, specification, budget management, bidding/procurement, and FF&E layout. Ms. Martin graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. Her extensive studies included project management, construction codes, estimating, statics and strength of materials, and scheduling and planning. During her senior year, she served as a “student shadow” for the renovation and addition to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Gove Student Health Center. Her responsibilities included regular site walk-throughs and active participation in weekly meetings with contractors, project managers, and University officials.
